@LaMotta248 For me, this goes next to Waterworld in my pantheon of “commercial/critical failures, endlessly mocked, and I’ll never understand why” movies. Also, in my head Digger is a prequel to Waterworld
@LaMotta248 Yeah the performances, direction, cinematography are all top notch. Honestly might be Tom Cruise’s best performance which is kind of insane
@ErrorJustin I have a soft spot in my heart for this show but it was one of the more uneven seasons I’ve ever seen.
The pilot was a masterpiece and then the next episode is kind of a narrative mess.
Reasonable people jumped off it early and missed some real diamonds later in the season
@sonneman@jtrizzy5 Even a digital subscription to a magazine kinda boggles my mind, and this is coming from someone who has a physical newspaper subscription to the Star Tribune
@jtrizzy5 This is my annual tradition where I completely forget that TIME exists until they announce their person of the year. Kinda weird to me that this still gains as much cultural traction as it does
@jtrizzy5 The Saints stadium also happens to be three miles from where I live. If you ever want to catch some minor league action and get stinking drunk while the wives take watch the kids, just put out the bat signal
@ErrorJustin As someone who moved from San Francisco back to the Midwest three years ago, it’s quite an adjustment but I’m mostly happier. The cost of living in SF is oppressive, the income inequality absurd. I still love SF but it isn’t an easy city to live in. Good luck with your move!
@jtrizzy5 Methinks they’ll be looking at how this will impact ratings down the stretch, especially for teams who would otherwise be out of the running.
@AaronGleeman Does that mean it’s statistically impossible for them to miss the playoffs? i.e if they lose the next 13 games in a row, the teams behind them play each other too many times to make up the difference?
