Love how detailed the FedEx tracker is. Posted a parcel from the UK to Bavaria 11 days ago. On day 2 it arrived in Cologne where it spent the next 7 days. Then off to Wiesbaden for the weekend and now it's back in Cologne. Delivery still due on 11th June; fingers crossed.
@MusicaLondra@40PercentGerman True. The UK is missing proper buns which can hold a burger or sausage and some sauce without disintegrating on the first bite.
@40PercentGerman And if you are using variant 1 in Germany, they will work out a solution for you so you can come after all. (I've seen that happening!)
@40PercentGerman "When are you coming back home?", is a question I used to get a lot from folks in Germany (though they've given up now). Even after 24 yrs in the UK, I still go 'home' when I visit family in Germany - and then back 'home' to England. Sometimes I wonder if both or neither is home.
🎄📽️ One of the most popular Christmas films in Germany is the 1980 UK film 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' starring Alec Guinness.
'Der kleine Lord' has been a Christmas mainstay in Germany since it was first broadcast in 1982 and is often shown multiple times over the holidays.
@MattEvans How cool! After reading your tweet, I texted my mum in Germany to ask if she's watching Barnaby and indeed she is. So I sent here a couple of pictures of the time when I took my parents to Carter's Steam Fair during one of their England visits and we saw the 'Wall of Death'.
