In life take time to say thankyou for the beautiful moment that you exist in. I know not who I thank, or why I say thankyou at all. I’ve done this as long as I can remember. To any who read this, if you’re in an instance that’s truly amazing live in everything about that moment
@BradyHenderson Lifelong Seahawks fan, I believe the only one I question is the JSN call, but even that could’ve gone both ways. The fact of the matter is, we just got out played. My hat’s off to the Bears. No need to be salty or upset. That’s football. There’s a lot of season left, go Hawks!
@xum19830125 I would take the second island, although I would preface that with trying to figure out a way to get an airport, maybe on the far end of the island
@RyanHatesGovt I have had this conversation at nauseum. Most Black ppl completely understand per capita. It is a mathematical tool to identify trends w/in a specific pop. The problem is on its own it falls short. Being OK with an incomplete trend analysis is willfully ignorant.
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I’ve already addressed my feelings about that data set, where is it from? It doesn’t specify victims or perpetrators. This looks like it is incomplete. Tell me where the original source is
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I would agree, I gave you an example. If your control is White Americans, then why don’t you look at the difference in crime rate based on poverty between White Americans. This is something that can be tracked. Poverty is more of a crime indicator than race.
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I’m not necessarily saying that you did, I’m saying before the conversation devolves into name calling. I should’ve been more clear. I disagree with you about a variable in data being trivial. Seldom is it that when trying to cultivate data for trends you would stop at 1 variable
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 If you say so, but trying to have that conversation over X realistically most likely won’t amount to much. From what I can tell, how you are feeling the situation in my opinion is flawed. There’s no need for me to name call or anything like that. You feel that I’m wrong that’s ok
@WageSlaveRebels@LLThecrusader I’m glad you beat me to it. There can be a national identity a person can have & an ethnic lineage that is different. They’re not mutually exclusive. If feels he is English because he was born in the UK, raised in the UK, and lives in the UK. I would say that he’s British. 🤷🏾♂️
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I’m not upset about anything, your perspective is incomplete. That is my opinion. To be honest, I don’t even know why you care so much. Have a good day
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 This is why I’m over this conversation. I said your lens was flawed: all-race exonerations divided by Black arrests, from different years. Exonerations don’t count every wrongful conviction. Correct math doesn’t fix a bad comparison.
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I think your view of the statistics is flawed. And there’s really nothing else to say. I feel that you are wrong in your observation. You feel that you are right. Unless we are going to have a true formal discourse, this is pointless.
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 What are you talking about, poverty doesn’t matter? This is making me think that you truly don’t understand variables amongst populations. If your control is White ppl, then I ask, do poor Whites commit crime at a higher rate than White ppl who aren’t poor?
@d0micci@___TheGOOdWitch First, mathematics, absolutely came via discovery. At its most rudimentary, it was cultivated through observing the world around us. But making no mistake, math consistently changes. At one point, we had no way to quantify 0, and thought Earth was the center of the solar system
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 All of those would be variables that need to be considered. Why don’t you comparing violent crime rates of Black & White Americans w/in the same economic status, vs Black & White Americans in a higher economic status. This may be more telling. This is truly always been the case
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 I never argued against per capita. It adjusts for population size. It doesn’t adjust for poverty, age, neighborhood conditions or who gets stopped, searched and arrested. Dividing by population doesn’t make those variables disappear.
@Garviel_Loken_1@SchmittyJenkins@FlagBlack007 Same number of cops per district? Then give the district populations. Equal headcounts don’t mean equal policing per person, let alone equal stop or search rates. You can’t defend per capita and then forget the denominator.
