Please @x algo, I've been building in the dark for way too long now. Connect me with open minded people interested in trying my food tracking APP & share their thoughts!! Completely free, built solo, just love to build for someone else than just myself… https://t.co/nJLhsSYrqu
Happy to share code or more details if interested. Curious if anyone's tried this before? Maybe pushed it further without reaching for a full 3D engine?
Hey x algorythm show this whoever is interested, #expo#reactnative#buildinpublic? Anyway, I wanted to share the new onboarding for my food tracking app #neoforge and explain how it's done:
- As a fallback it's just a still image of that scene (actually the one I used to feed for the 360 one)
I guess this could be improved by using parallax on parts of the images or an animated video instead of a picture. But I'm happy with the result for now.
1. Occupied time feels shorter than unoccupied time:
Even just the glancing at the picture before submit, or time to move finger on submit button saves some none perceived milliseconds. +a spinner alone doesn't help, but a preview, a mini-animation, anything to look at does.
8. Waiting solo feels slower than waiting with others. Shared visible waits (a progress bar others can also see, a group queue) feel shorter than the identical wait experienced completely alone.
