@ZenkaiGoose@kick_sgt Okay ... I have to step in here. Having worked in AAA UI for many years, the UI does NOT 'just hook into an API'. Creating UI is incredibly time consuming and costly for studios. No team working in ANY AAA team is just going to change their UX and UI based on a mockup.
@therealcliffyb@DavidEllis We used Eliminated in Gears 5 to credit the player(s) contributing to downing the enemy and the player finishing the kill. And yeah, it was also done in reduce the toxicity around kill stealing as David mentioned.
Its a bittersweet day for me today, as its my last day working for Microsoft and The Coalition.
It's been an incredible experience working on Gears the last 6 years. I have nothing but love for the game and the team and will miss them both immensely. Time for a new challenge.
