Global warming is increasingly blamed for almost all extreme weather phenomenon by pundits and media these days. So let’s see what the science says.
The IPCC’s latest report covering such matters (AR6, 2021) concluded that a signal of climate change has not yet emerged beyond natural variability for the following phenomena:
•River floods
•Heavy precipitation and pluvial floods
•Landslides
•Drought (all types)
•Severe wind storms
•Tropical cyclones
•Sand and dust storms
•Heavy snowfall and ice storms
•Hail
•Snow avalanche
•Coastal flooding
•Marine heat waves
Remember that when the BBC or any other media obsessed with peddling worst case scenarios whatever the scientific evidence to push their own agenda tells you some extreme weather event is result of global warming.
One clear exception — the IPCC AR6 has high confidence that it is and will continue to cause an increase in heat extremes in most land regions.

@DanNeidle Just cut all benefits by 15%....remove all benefits from non-Brits, take away state pension from pensioners who don't need it. Make private school fees and private healthcare costs tax deductible...cut corporation tax to 12%. Scrap property stamp duty entirely. For starters..
