Lane is simply borrowing a page from the @OleMiss playbook: When a @NCAA or @SEC rule does not benefit, just find a local sympathetic judge to issue a TRO. He copied the "Trinidad Chambliss" playbook!

“BY RULE” (@SEC Rule) Trinidad is ineligible. “BY RULE”, Trinidad should be in the NFL. The SEC and NCAA does not allow “BY RULE” an athlete to have a 6th year of eligibility. So, what does @OleMissFB do? They find a sympathetic Mississippi judge and instruct Trinidad to file suit. Sympathetic judge rules in favor of Trinidad and issues a TRO. Trinidad gets to play.

Here’s how the conversation went: “Hey Trinidad, you’re out of eligibility and your only option is to go pro. But, we (Ole Miss) have an offer you can’t refuse…
1. We will get a local, sympathetic judge to issue a TRO to order the NCAA to give you a 6th year of eligibility, and
2. We will pay you $6 Million!

There’s only 7 NFL rookies in this year’s draft that are making more than Trinidad. Financially, that’s a win for Trinidad.

On the contrary, LSU is signing a player who played just 4 years and he also had NO eligibility remaining. So, he entered an NFL training camp and earned $30,000. While he was there, the NCAA granted him a 5th year of eligibility. He was cut from the Cleveland Browns after the second preseason game. He wasn’t even good enough to make the Browns roster!

And yet, everyone has their panties in a wad!

Trinidad Chambliss will be entering his 4th year playing snaps. Had a redshirt and argued in court for his medical redshirt. Pretty common when you look around at different rosters in college.

In comparison, DaeQuan Wright has played 4 seasons of ball, and signed a pro contract.
