The situation reads like JHN was fired for cause after they renewed him and they had to buy him out of his contract. As for gaps, LMC fired Travis Mack and they announced his ‘27 replacement same day.

@CJJohns37859982 @NASCAR I don’t think JJ bought out JHN to get Berry. I think he bought out JHN to get rid of JHN. If his plan had been to get Berry all along, he likely would have had a finalized deal with Berry ready to announce at the same time rather than there being a gap between the two.

@nascar_opinion This right here. I was actually a Blaney fan last season but listening to his self-entitled attitude on his radio this season completely turned me off of him. The sport has become way too cliquish and entitled. I don’t even like Hocevar but I like he calls out the sport’s flaws.

@nascar_opinion So is the decision to pull down and try to force someone racing for a win to lift. All I heard about after BK was that it wasn’t called for because he was racing for 18th. This was for 2nd and a shot at the win. Blaney made a decision too, and it was the wrong one.
