I joined @tryreplicas as CTO a few weeks ago.
Since then we’ve shipped nonstop, grown faster than ever, and become even more convinced of the vision:
Every engineering team should be able to run any agent harness and deploy autonomous engineers.
Excited for replicas V2‼️
I joined Y Combinator with 14 users, building a dev tool for myself.
Then @SaaiArora joined as CTO, and we started growing and shipping 2x faster. It forced us to rebuild product and infra from the ground up for teams, not solo devs.
We are ending the batch with >300k agent minutes per week, and teams like @mintlify, @knowunity, and @modaflows shipping through Replicas every day.
Today we're launching Replicas V2.
Whenever Replicas takes a screenshot using Computer Use, it now gives to you in cleanshot/screen studio-style!
here was a screenshot it took playing the Ubuntu Star Wars:
We’ve replaced the codex sdk with the app server protocol; this allows us to better integrate with the codex harness.
I’ve been using the /goal command a lot with gpt 5.5, and it’s been a game changer. Try it out in replicas.
every couple weeks I bump up the disk GB on Replicas agents and go “yup, that’s more than enough”
then some customer pings me asking for 2x more? so I gotta ask our sandboxing provider for more limits, and their poor engineer has to explain to me that performance will be “unpredictable”
meanwhile I don’t even know how or why they need so much
Devin is a great product. But they miss one thing: developers are emotional and pick tools based on vibes. That's why most devs run Claude Code or Codex as their daily driver.
We're building @tryreplicas to automate software engineering while letting you use ANY harness you want. Even Devin. Even Cursor. Even our competitors. That's why we'll win.
You can make sure PRs never introduce unused code in 2 clicks:
1. Enable the "No Unused Code" automation
2. Get a CI check on every PR, that comes with an explanation
3. Point your CC/Codex at CI and have it autofix
(or have Replicas auto fix)
We added multimodal output for Claude Code and Codex! (kinda)
Replicas can now show you videos, images, or audios rendered inline - before uploading it to a library for you to look at.
Take a look 👇
Does your Claude Code add too many comments?
Fix in 2 clicks:
1. Enable the "No Unnecessary Comments" automation 2. Get a CI check on every PR, that comes with an explanation
3. Point your CC/Codex at CI and have it autofix
(or have Replicas auto fix)
