Tariqa the Great

Used to work in a field that's been largely replaced by the internet. Switched to a profession where I might be replaced by a robot. she/her

@danxduran @anecdatamusic Nice video except for the bums

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

Every adult at the first service held each year signed an advance medical directive to say they'd rather die than have a blood transfusion, duly witnessed and signed by the person sitting next to them - yet we were constantly lectured on the importance of resisting peer pressure

[Kevín @KevOnStage]

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen WITH YOUR OWN EYES happen in church?

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@danxduran You say that, and yet we still have the top of a Pizza Hut box with Jar-Jar on it (and a Datsuns set list on the back) in our garage

@gamerswift13 I didn't have a password on my laptop until I got burgled in 2008 or so. Police recovered the laptop while searching a drug dealer's house, got it back and the fucker had put a password on! Fortunately easy to guess what it was but I learned my lesson, lol

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@gamerswift13 Had to buy a new vacuum cleaner yesterday for this exact reason! Cheap kmart bagless vac died, so bought a cheapish bagged hoover from Godfreys

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@gamerswift13 I'm very wary of cheap bagless vacs - had bad experiences, the filters are crap (and often can't be replaced) and the motor dies due to poor filtration. Any bagged options in your price range? Of course, will have to replace bags, but that's better than the whole vacuum cleaner

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@Publicwrongs Sadly Person of Interest isn't on tvnz on demand anymore - I went to rewatch PoI recently but it had gone (along with Lost and probably a bunch of other ABC network shows)

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@danxduran Corporate life?!

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@gamerswift13 Good luck!

⚠️ If your captions:

> Paraphrase what is being said
> Contain hidden ‘jokes’/things not heard in the video

Then you are offering an experience to your Deaf/HoH audience which is different to the one provided to hearing viewers. That, by definition, isn’t access. #CCMeIn

@danxduran Fatherly love.

@danxduran @mattscheurich It's more that I have three children to drop off on the way (hours after Dan starts work) and our PT system isn't set up for that. Would take the train if it were even marginally feasible!

@MegdeRonde If you're happy to self-cater, the Pioneer Women's Hall in the Ellen Melville Centre might work? https://t.co/6t0QAcQ334

Everything I ever learned about professional networking, I learned from Inigo Montoya.

@saycheeselouise Or a 9° day either...

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@szechuan Slightly less ashamed of my assiduous but utterly boring scan history now!

[Tariqa the Great @tsariqa]

@gamerswift13 Farmers has press-on kits, but it's been ~15 years since I used them I've no idea on the quality now. Personally I prefer regular nail polish (not gel) with a good top coat to make them look better & last longer
