Same. Also a bunch of videos even from the official account, with no captions. #CCMeIn
Hey #ResignationWatch & #Journalists- could you #Caption #CCMeIn and #AltText your tweets please so the disabled community can be part of this discussion! Johnson's government have been killing us for a while and we'd like to join in the fun. Cheers! @SkyNews @BBCNews
How come the BBC gets out of the Public Sector Equality Duty? (I think that’s what my googling has told me?)
If it had to comply would that mean all of its social media content would be captioned?
Shouldn’t it want to align itself with the spirit of the duty anyway?
#CCMeIn
Also, to add to this: please don’t just caption for the first few seconds so it counts as a view and then say ‘tap for sound’ - Deaf people like me can’t do that! #CCMeIn
Yeah… Don’t do this. #CCMeIn
@WeAreDisabled Actually saw a video a few months back that had ablistic slurs in the captions specifically to target people reading those captions. I reported the video
@WeAreDisabled Would you mind explaining what’s meant by “hidden jokes,” or give an example? Thank you! #CCMeIn
I have a captions tutorial on my YouTube channel which should contain a few useful tips: https://t.co/8rcIIqr6zM. #CCMeIn
@WeAreDisabled Is there a guideline for subtitles? I have a youtube channel, & I've been trying to do them properly but I've only been guessing needs based on my own experiences with auditory processing issues. I'd like to learn how to better them without bothering deaf folks here.
@WeAreDisabled @LiamODellUK Oh my gosh, why is this the 1st time I'm seeing this brilliant hashtag?!

⚠️ If your captions:
> Paraphrase what is being said
> Contain hidden ‘jokes’/things not heard in the video
Then you are offering an experience to your Deaf/HoH audience which is different to the one provided to hearing viewers. That, by definition, isn’t access. #CCMeIn
@amandamilling @Stephenson_Ryan @Conservatives Captions are meant to be functional, not branding. I can't read them clearly and can't hear, so your message is totally lost. #FunctionNotFashion #Accessibility #CCMeIn
@10DowningStreet We are pleased to see that this video has captions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. #CCMeIn #deafawareness
If you’re organising a webinar of any kind PLEASE organise captioning by humans and don’t just rely on auto-craptions. Thanks! #conference #webinar #zoom #meeting #access #craptions #CCMeIn
If you've joined a zoom webinar and it has accurate live captions, it's because live human captioners (like ours) are able to add captions directly to the platform. To find out more, please get in touch!!

I have started a new blog series on deaf and disabled activists! This week, I had the pleasure of interviewing deaf activist @LiamODellUK who started the #CCMeIn campaign. We discussed captioning content and effects of COVID-19!
See the interview here: https://t.co/UJ0ttWGSmb
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives
Thrilled to finally see a show at @NationalTheatre using #SmartCaptionGlasses which are amazing! And #DeathOfEngland is phenomenal! #deaf #access #CCMeIn
