In New York State, multiple parties can organize and get on the ballot. There is no requirement that a party cannot nominate the same candidate as another party.

In practice this happens in every New York election. In 2016, Donald Trump was on NY ballot 3 times as nominee of Republican, Conservative and Independent parties.

It’s a privilege to be an American citizen and I’d encourage you to learn more about your new country. We are not South Africa.
