@zacbowden People that buy the Neo care about one thing only. The logo. The Windows alternative could be 10x the laptop at the same price. Doesn’t matter.
@harobuilds@mweinbach What do you mean nobody wants to talk about? It’s what everyone has been talking about with the MacBook Neo and these new PC competitors. It’s been exhaustively discussed.
It’s hard because I really do like talking to Claude models. But Anthropic has been doing everything they can lately to push away customers. They have such a lock on enterprise with AWS Bedrock and make so much money there, I think they don’t really care about those of us using subscriptions.
@benhylak Until then you can use the workaround of trying to create the UI in GPT Images and asking Codex to build it. Still would be better if Codex could design a good UI on its own without that step.
Codex does mean book, but I told my wife today, you should try using Codex for your tasks. Her response was, why? I don’t write code? Multiply that single anecdote against the rest of the non technical world out there. It’ll take a while for the association with being a cleverly named coding tool to fade.
@SnazzyLabs This was my first iPod, 10GB. I loved it but the touch buttons were flaky and if you kept it in your pocket, those sharp edges around the buttons and dial would get so dirty. I was also using Windows then, right before iTunes. Musicmatch was rough.
