A year ago, I predicted that the developer interface would evolve to look more like GitHub or Jira than Visual Studio.
We’re there now. What matters more is orchestrating multiple tasks and agents, not deeply inspecting every step of the code.
Introducing Cline Kanban: A standalone app for CLI-agnostic multi-agent orchestration. Claude and Codex compatible.
npm i -g cline
Tasks run in worktrees, click to review diffs, & link cards together to create dependency chains that complete large amounts of work autonomously.
This post sent me to my team with a slightly paranoid question:
Could a rogue AI agent wipe our entire infra — including the database backups?
While discussing it we realized this is actually an old problem. It’s basically the ransomware attack scenario: an attacker gains control and encrypts or deletes both data and backups to force a payout.
There are already defenses for this. For example Google Cloud is adding immutable / indelible backups that cannot be deleted even with compromised credentials.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command.
It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards.
Automated snapshots were gone too.
In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again.
If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read.

This is the first time in human history @NASA_Astronauts have entered the @Space_Station from a commercially-made spacecraft. @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug have finally arrived to the orbiting laboratory in @SpaceX's Dragon Endeavour spacecraft.
