@ctl1215 5) I personally really enjoyed the course Technology in Education in this program. I loved learning new ways to teach while integrating technology. Our final assignment was called "The Maker Space" where we all had the chance to design and create something. I really enjoyed it!
@ctl1215 3) To incorporate the idea of "student-centred" into an iSTEM classroom, we can try having students to find STEM topics or issues that interest them and topics are issues that are relevant to their personal life or community.
4) I think as settlers of a colonized nation, we can understand Indigenous ways of knowing and doing science. However, I would say there could be shortcoming to that. I personally believe that it is up to the individual - how willling they are to learn about others’ cultures...
Yes! I totally agree. I was actually talking to an indigenous person last week and he was telling me some interesting things. He appreciates “The Act of Reconciliation” and all, but that’s not enough. Current institutions are portraying only one part of the big picture... (tbc)
@ctl1215 Q2. I think we need to invite more Indigenous peoples to the conversation, and give them the opportunity and ability to create change. We can't continue to make decisions that we think are best (although they may well intended) on behalf of others.

@HabeebSafeena@ctl1215 I totally agree! Like you said, I think this certainly applies to other marginalized groups and their ways of knowing. For example, Chinese have their own set of systems and ways, especially for medicine. However, at the global level, it is still viewed as “not as good”.
(In this case, it would be indigenous cultures.) Recently, I actually had the chance to meet an indigenous Anglican bishop and I was fascinated to learn about his views on his cultures and his faith. He mentioned that language can for sure create limitations... (to be continued)
