He is Dr Nagendra from Bengaluru, Karnataka.

He reported the presence of two alleged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the city.

What happened then? Two criminal cases were registered against Dr Nagendra, and he was arrested.

Now, the Karnataka High Court has rebuked the Bengaluru Police over filing two criminal cases against him. During the hearing, the court reportedly remarked that the police should not indulge in "appeasement" while dealing with complaints of illegal immigration and must instead act strictly in accordance with the law.

The court also questioned why criminal cases were registered against the complainant instead of first verifying his allegations. It stayed further proceedings against Dr. Nagendra until the next hearing.

Well, if an Indian citizen who reports illegal immigrants is arrested, then who will come forward to report such cases in the future? Which citizen will be willing to stay vigilant and take that risk if they themselves could end up being arrested for reporting it?

@drsharadwat Sir I am a resident of your constituency. Drainage cleaning and broken roads needs to be addressed ASAP. Municipal corporation also needs to work on daily basis. The condition of Natu pally, Patipukur Girls high school and nearby area is very bas.
