Well, it took 29 days & 89,098 words, but I have drafted up another book! Really quite pleased to have this first draft done, I reckon I'll give myself a few weeks to rest before returning for an editing pass, I'm sure there will be things I want to revise with a little space.
@GhostHandDev In other words, this reads more like a zelda dungeon than an overworld, if that makes sense? You could 100% have keys of some kind which make the sequence you explore this area variable, but ultimately this graph suggests that experience is choosing "explore now or explore later"
@GhostHandDev So, no shortcuts or alternative routes: this is a map where you can choose to go on a tangent and then have to return to the point where you made the choice, assuming that this map isn't connecting to other areas that then connect back elsewhere.
@redblobgames For anyone using a jetbrains editor like phpstorm or pycharm, they have a similar live split view, but to my knowledge they don't have this handy dragging functionality.
As is now tradition, I've done my year-in-review of games I played on Twitch/Youtube! It's a bit rambling and chaotic but I think it's fun looking back at all the titles I've enjoyed, especially some of the smaller/less well known titles.

I'm back to streaming, this time playing Somber Echoes thanks to the generosity of my friend @GripsChan , who is recently back to streaming!

It is with very mixed feelings that I release my last episode of Silksong. The game has great visuals, music, combat, map design, & story... but the difficulty of the game low-key ruins it. I love it, but I also can't cleanly recommend it either.

You guys, after years of hard work by @warrrkus, House of Necrosis is finally out, so tonight I'm gonna chill and play that! Come hang out!

Hot take: the existence of Hollow Knight's normal mode in no way diminishes the Steel Soul mode.
Ergo, why would an "easy" mode diminish the normal mode? In what way would it invalidate or damage the experience of players on the normal mode?
Surprise! I'm starting stream super early today because we're playing the new #Shantae game, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution! I'm quite excited for this one, so come hang out!

So uh, sorry about the radio silence & missed streams last week! I was in the hospital thanks to a blood clot, which caused a renal infarction.
I'm home now and on the mend, but I'm gonna take this week off streaming as well, just to play it safe. Thanks for understanding!
Alrighty, time for a new series! By community request, I'm starting a playthru of Afterimage on my twitch channel, come check it out with me!

@Nerfnow It depends a *lot* on the game. For an RPG I won't notice any variances above 60, but on a shooter I can tell when my PC is dipping below 144.
Counterintuitively, the difference between 60 and 59 is more noticeable than the difference between 60 and 30, because of the jitter.
