What I love most about Babar Azam is his cricketing brain. He is a calculator who's making a habit of calculating to perfection.

Tonight was one of those nights again. Chasing a huge total of 189, Babar started the innings in an aggressive way, but not over-aggressive or needless risk taken. Made full use of the powerplay, scored fifty & then accelerated the innings straight away.

50 off 34 balls ➡️ 100 off 57 balls. His next 50 came from just 23 balls. Chasing would have been more comfortable if Nuwanidu didn't make 8 from 13 balls in the death overs. At the end of the day, Babar can be proud of himself for his calculative masterstroke.
