Just because CM Vijay values public opinion and allows healthy criticism, it doesn’t mean every ministry allocation deserves nonstop commentary from people who were silent for years.

During the previous DMK government, M.P. Saminathan, a BA graduate with no major film industry background was handling the same Film Technology & Cinematograph portfolio. Where was this sudden concern about “industry experience” then? Not a single emotional post about producers suffering or reforms being needed.

Now suddenly qualifications matter only because Vijay is CM? A minister’s responsibility is administration, policy decisions and execution,  not whether they acted in films for 30 years.

Respectfully, selective outrage exposes political bias more than genuine concern for the film industry.
