What Sean Dyche is doing at Forest is fascinating - in that he’s overseeing the evolution in style that the club clearly wanted, but in a fairly subtle way.

Going from what Nuno did to ‘Ange-ball’ was way too much too soon and neglected many of the qualities that led to Forest’s turbo-charged development in the first place.

Under Dyche we’re seeing them have more of the ball than 24/25, and pressing more.

They’re also playing, at times, some nice passing football.

Yes there are also some long-balls, but it feels like it’s situation dependent, sensible pragmatism - in short, they can mix it up.

Sean Dyche, with arguably the most talented squad he’s had, seems to be developing a team that’s comfortable playing in different ways - he’s showing different sides to himself too, and getting results at the same time, deserves a lot of credit for how quickly he’s made such a difference
