A spectacular aurora is likely tonight and over the weekend.

Crossed border into Germany yesterday and stopped at a national park that straddles the Czech/German border. Took the oldest tram in Europe (so the locals say) up to the highlands for a 6 mile hike which was scenic but tough not to mention wet.

Day two from Melnik to Litomerice with a stop in Roudnice for lunch (fun), and a stop at Terezin to visit the former concentration camp/ghetto (sad and disturbing).

Made it to Melnik in one piece. Little tired and sore but what a blast!

After a great few days in Prague, time to hit the trail. Prague to Dresden, 130 miles in six days. Day one, Prague to Melnik, 33 miles. Let’s hope I make it.
