Cannot make this up, either.
@nytimes opinion has had four recent pieces about fatherhood and masculinity, with six authors:
Three women
A trans "man"
Two childless men
Not one father. The cultural elite contempt for dads runs so deep we don't even get to speak for ourselves.
A few questions:
If capitalism means "a company owns everything," which company owns podcasts, YouTube channels, independent contractors, freelancers, food trucks, Etsy stores, self employed plumbers, private tutors, farmers, consultants, and the millions of businesses competing with each other every day?
And if a company really did own everything, what would stop you from starting a competing company?
Under socialism, the government is a monopoly by definition. You can't compete with it. You can't start a rival government and offer a better tax rate, legal system, or regulatory package.
Under capitalism, every business faces potential competition from every other business and every individual willing to enter the market.
The difference isn't "government vs company."
It's monopoly by law vs competition by choice.
Red flags to watch for: Demands for immediate compliance with no discussion, labeling questions as dangerous or immoral, or creating a sense of urgency/emergency. Real threats don't require censorship. Legitimate science requires scrutiny. #CriticalThinking#TrustButVerify
🧵 1/5 Americans can’t afford the price increases that would inevitably follow from a massive influx of federal childcare funding.
We’ve seen this movie before.
It ends with even higher prices.
I know several lgbq ppl who think ICE has (secret?) orders to go after lgbq ppl. They are upset about ICE primarily for this reason, not immigration policy.
I don't understand this. They can't point to any gov directives, either written or spoken, that points to this. Am I missing something?
Over the last few days, there has been yet a new wave of reports saying Social Security is running out of money.
How come there are never any reports about foreign aid running out of money?
These fucking Israel First cowards are still scared to criticize Trump, so they're now calling the deal that Trump signed with Iran "the Vance peace deal," as if Vance somehow forced Trump to agree to it.
So first CT banns my kids from going to school because they are not vaccinated. Then DCF gives me an educational neglect because they say I can’t homeschool. Then CT passes a law that next school year I’m barred from homeschooling because I have a DCF case but they still can’t let my kids go to school. Does everyone see where this is going? If not I can’t help you. But at least I have standing while everyone else is years behind.
The Murchison Meteorite: A 7-Billion-Year-Old Gift from the Stars In 1969, a fireball streaked across the Australian sky and slammed into the ground near Murchison, Victoria. What looked like an ordinary space rock turned out to be one of the most extraordinary objects ever found on Earth. This meteorite is 7 billion years old — roughly 2.5 billion years older than the Sun and our entire Solar System.Inside it are tiny presolar grains — actual stardust forged inside ancient red giant stars that lived and died before our Sun even existed. These microscopic diamonds, silicon carbide, and graphite crystals are genuine pieces of other stars, preserved for billions of years in the cold void of space.Even more mind-blowing: the Murchison meteorite contains over 100 different amino acids — the building blocks of proteins and life itself. Many of these amino acids are not found in Earth life, meaning this rock arrived with a ready-made chemical toolkit for biology long before our planet even formed.Australia literally got mailed a chunk of the ancient galaxy — a time capsule older than every mountain, ocean, and living thing you’ve ever touched. This single meteorite proved that the ingredients for life were already floating around the cosmos billions of years before Earth existed. It’s not just a rock. It’s a messenger from the stars, carrying the chemical seeds of life across the https://t.co/RvM6Y09N9b of the most humbling objects humanity has ever held in its hands.
This isn't "5D chess" or any other weak excuse. The CDC, under the Trump administration, putting millions of American infants and adults at an elevated risk of death, disability, and injury will not "Make America Healthy Again."
$735,720,598.00 just awarded to Pfizer by the CDC for infant COVID shots. Another $505,272,000.00 awarded for adult vaccines.
As it is, seven million American children have been given a COVID shot since Trump took office.
If a terrorist organisation, Iran, or anyone other than Pfizer was endangering Americans like this, he would have threatened them with nuclear annihilation by now.
But don't worry, there's some fuzzy pictures of UFOs and aliens to keep you distracted.
History will remember Elon Musk alongside DaVinci, Gutenberg, Fulton, Pasteur, Edison, Ford and Jobs.
History will have no recollection of any kind of Ro Khanna.
We can’t coexist with “these people”, but we need to start defining who “these people” are.
If you think “these people” are black people, and we can’t coexist with them because you compare the entire race to the worst of them, ask yourself if that same standard should be applied to you.
Hitler was white, Stalin was white, so were Lenin, Manson, Dahmer, and Gacy. What about Jared from Subway, Casey Anthony, or Tyler Robinson, they’re white, can we coexist with “these people”?
Should all white people be judged by the worst among us, or should we be judged based on our individual actions?
I can’t coexist with “these people” no matter what their race, religion, ethnicity or nationality is, because when I say “these people” I’m referring to evil people.
I will fight until my last breath, to stop these people from winning.
Not because I'm a sychophant for Elon. But because I want to live in a world where Elon Musk is possible. I want to live in a world that builds things, & hard work is valued & rewarded
Reject this,at all costs
