@alentejo_1970 Luso-American here. My experience: In the 90s, even the INS and the border agents didn't know where Portugal was; 2000-2010, occasionally people would say they know someone from Brasil; 2020s "We visited Lisbon last summer"
@Bewickwren PSA: a black coffee in Portugal is best ordered as an "Abatanado" which is basically a short Americano. The Americano came about when American GIs in Europe were looking for black coffee, and cafés served them expressos+hot water
@Boenau Speed kills because it increases the energy in the system. Mass is another factor. A heavy truck will have more potential for harm than a small car at the same speed. Give benefits, like preferential parking, to progressively smaller vehicles.
@inezrussell Not always and not ever-bigger, but often and always depending on who is paying and what is growing bigger. Social programs? Military? "Big government" is such a weird talking point, it can mean so many things.
@HeidiSocial Step 1: Amazon review for that package: "ordered office supplies, received snake. 1 star. Would not recommend." Step 2: attach that photo. Step 3: report back with responses.
