it's the largest smart contract chain. it has the majority of stablecoin and DeFi TVL.

L2s are customizable, purpose-built, ownable & brandable.
they’re cheaper to run, easier to build, highly optimized for end users.
they can be much faster, more private, more integrated.

ethereum is the default for companies & institutions, for these reasons.
