The @MohawkCollege Public Relations program winter guest speaker series launched today. @MaryFearon, Founder/President of OnPrpose Inc. presented "Life's a Pitch." Students learned tips for selling their ideas, whether it's to top management or pitching to new business.

The PR program provides students with an opportunity to develop a professional industry network as they prepare for their career search in the winter semester. Brent, who is now one of those connections, also emphasized the importance of the network in career development.

Brent Carey (@brecarey), Vice President, Communications at Mattamy Asset Management wrapped up the @MohawkCollege PR program fall speaker series today. He shared thoughts on media relations/crisis communications and the importance of media relationships in sharing news.
