@osu_grad98 @mattyglesias The unemployment rate fell to half of its peak under Bush in the Obama years and the economy grew every year of his administration. While inflation peaked in 2022 under Biden the US recovery from Covid was faster than other modern economies.

@adamtirapelle I value sports though I never played at a high level. One issue with the current model is that only families with the time and money to travel can participate. My childhood involved playing local house league against other kids in my town — which is less available now

@RTPSports @NYMag When I was a kid my community (a small city of 100k) had 2 house leagues at different skill levels for each age group that never travelled and were not very intense. The travel hockey team was elite and there was one team that travelled for esch age group. That seems better.
