While Counsel's intention is noble and the strategy achieved the desired result, one is constrained to counsel other Counsel that may intend to attempt this that results may vary.

Even if you want to "toast" a judge, try not to appeal to physical features. Some judges may find it insulting or at least patronizing. That does not make them sadists or killjoys. You probably won't tell a male judge that he is handsome or goodlooking.

More so, there are some things that Silks and Senior Lawyers will say and get away with, that might land a junior in the court's bad grace.

A phrase like

"Inasmuch as I love coming to this Court to learn from My Lord's unparalleled wisdom"

or other attributes of skills, excellence or legal erudition might be a safe substitute.

This is my one kobo opinion as I continue my campaign to #MakeLitigationGreatAgain

Infact, the phrase used as an example has been adopted one time and I got the desired result with a male Judge.

People often forget that these people are first humans before anything else.
