Thats 3x the amount Cyprus just spent, €95m
and 4x what Denmark spent, €80m.

Most of the money is going to:

Gardaí & security €125m
Dept of Foreign Affairs €65m
OPW will get €51m.

But what are they spending it on???

This E-Tender shows €131,000 will be spent on woollen scarf mementos for the 4,500 EU delegates.

Money raised here for ISIS: almost zero media interest. Recent attempted butchering of a man in the North by a Sudanese man: let's focus on the riots. Rape of a girl outside an IPAS centre by an asylum-seeker: let's concentrate on the violent reaction. And so on.

Would the London-HQ Times ever feck off with its "Ireland's knife crime problem". Whilst knife crime exists amongst all communities, there is a very specific problem with knife crime around the African music scene as illustrated by three dreadful events in the past 15 months.

The victims and nearly all the perpetrators have African heritage.

Feb 2025: African music night at Club 22 on South Anne Street, Quham Babatunde (34, below centre), Nigerian stabbed to death in Grafton Street, multiple assaults on several people resulting in non life-threatening injurries: Prosecution: assault, brandishing a knife and violent disorder, Jeffrey Bangu (21), Balbriggan; violent disorder, assaults, and production of a knife, John Eghomwanre (23), Lusk; Violent disorder and assaults, Faraj Odukoya (19); Murder, Ryan Ndede (23) charged in N Ireland.

May 2026: African music event at Bewley’s Cafe, Dublin.
