The reconstruction of the Ibadan–Ife–Ilesha Expressway has resumed after a temporary suspension to improve construction quality and ensure full compliance with project standards.
The contractor has implemented the required adjustments, while palliative repairs have also been carried out on alternate lanes to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for motorists as full reconstruction progresses.
Residents along the corridor have welcomed the resumption of work and commended the improved quality of construction.

World Bank's Country Director for Nigeria, Mathew Verghis' top quotes from this interview about Nigeria's economy.
1. "If you (the 🇳🇬 govt) want to deliver results to people (Nigerians), the money that you have on an annual basis is not enough"
2. "So you borrow, you get results and that will improve your ability to pay back"
3. "To be able to provide energy (power/electricity) to 32 million Nigerians, Nigeria needs to borrow money now. With increased access to energy, Nigeria will become a wealthier country"
4. "All countries borrow because investments are lumpy and large. The payoffs come in the future."
5. "Nigeria is moderately indebted, it has less debt relative to its economy than most of its neighbours like Ghana which is going through a debt restructuring"
6. " Nigeria doesn't have a high indebtedness problem, it has a low revenue problem. The critical focus should be on increasing revenues and that is happening. This will allow Nigeria to invest in its people & infrastructure. That will get them better jobs, better outcomes and lower poverty"
@DeeOneAyekooto@_ademakinwa this guy has been in this political game for long. The mess is deep. I just hope something solid will come out of this case & I still believe people should be fired for negligence under this administration and the police should do a thorough job on this case.
@_ademakinwa@thecableng No matter how this matter is viewed, it's really bad. Someone needs to be sacked for this negligence apart from the man being taken to court.
@_ademakinwa@Wizarab10 The funny part is that govt was/is actually giving scholarships for people 2 travel abroad, unfortunately, we in southern 🇳🇬 are not even carried along or not well informed about these info.
We still talked about thing scholarships stuff this week at a training I attended.
Throwback Thursday. 21 years ago today (in 2005) then Governor of Lagos State, @officialABAT, chaired the Sir Michael Otedola Scholarship Scheme Award Ceremony. Today His Excellency now serves as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In the ceremony I donated N200,000,000 (two hundred million naira only) to the scholarship scheme founded by my late father in 1987, continuing our family’s commitment to investing in the education.
True wealth is not measured by what we keep, but by the lives we change 🕊️ … F.Ote💲
UPDATE!
Ahead of the rollout of 7 million electricity meters procured by the Federal Government, about 5,000 personnel will be trained to help install them.
The application portal opens on July 4 for eligible applicants, including secondary school graduates and NYSC members. This is not a full-time employment programme, but a certification and skills-training initiative.
The first phase of the installation will commence in Abuja before expanding to other geopolitical zones across the country.
Dear President @officialABAT,
This is to remind you that Minister @BTOofficial from Ondo State is only allowed to do National assignment till the first year of your second tenure, i.e till 2028.
By 2029, he will have to resume duty as the Governor of Ondo State, his place of primary assignment.
Nitori naa, Nigeria should USE him, his passion, his energy, his expertise and his focus driven mindset very well while it last.
Imagine what will happen in all the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Government if the arrowheads are this passionate about their assignment....

@ObaToba1oflagos Yes, some areas experience flood due to poor waste management from citizens. Most, if not all costal cities are bound to experience flood/flash flood. This is also one of the effect of global warming. Before you criticize, do your research, ask questions, rather than just assume.
@ObaToba1oflagos Bro, this only shows u don't understand the peculiar of Lagos. Lagos is a low-lying costal city. The water level in Lagos is even as low as btw 3-23feet above sea level. There is high risk of flood 4 areas closer to the Lagoon or sea. Simple Google search would have help u learn
