I want to really affirm our gratitude to President Tinubu, especially in the area of security. He has just established two battalions, one in Alkaleri and another one in Tafawa Balewa.
The people of Bauchi are very proud of him. When we were almost overrun by bandits, nobody was coming to our aid. I went to him, and he responded in spite of my being in the opposition. He sent a high-powered military contingent under the National Security Adviser, the military services, and all security organisations. They really removed all the over 100,000 people who were trying to destroy our peace, and today, all those who were overrun have returned to their places, and they have found this farming season and we will never forget this. Tell him we will never forget this goodwill he has done to us.
- Governor Bala Mohammed commends President Tinubu
Today, Nigerians saw a healthy, youthful-looking, lucid, focused President Bola Tinubu, who articulated a clear message that gave Nigerians succour in the present and hope for the future. Listening to President Tinubu, Nigerians know the ship of state is in sound hands, as the Commander-in-Chief reported on his administration's achievements, especially in the economy, where Nigerians have seen gains in infrastructure, the non-oil sector, Foreign Direct Investment, trade surpluses, and higher foreign reserves.
Of particular note was the President’s statement that, even as his administration has ensured uninterrupted salary and pension payments at the Federal, State, and Local Government levels, his vision is, however, to defeat poverty, not manage it.
After watching this broadcast, I am proud of Nigeria at 66 years.
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Bemigho Reno Omokri
66 years of independence.
Nigeria has corrected its course, We have passed our own red sea and we will not look back.
We have turned the corner, The journey continues, the work continues, and the hope for a greater Nigeria remains alive.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addresses the nation today with a message for every Nigerian.
Happy Independence Day!
“To catch a rabbit, you need a bait”
When he was explaining how he would attract investors to invest in the country in pre-election interview 2023, children who have never built anything in their entire life were the first to call him balabalu.
How e come be now?
Mayokun Ajibade on what scares him:
“We will do ourselves a disservice by attempting to roll back these reforms.”
Some economic reforms should become national consensus, beyond APC, PDP or whoever is in power. Nigeria cannot afford to return to the old distortions.
School of Hard Knocks interviewed Indomie’s CEO who is Indonesian. He said they also own Dano, Kellogg’s, Hypo, Lush, Guinness & Malt. Their biggest competitor is Nestlé, which owns Maggi. He came to Nigeria for a holiday, and they now generate $2B in revenue. 😳
Oluremi mi, @SenRemiTinubu
Today, I celebrate the woman who has walked beside me with patience, grace and uncommon courage.
Àwọn àgbà sọ pé, “Ìyàwó rere ni adé ọkọ rẹ̀.” A good wife is her husband’s crown. The Book of Proverbs, which you know far better than I do, also speaks eloquently of the worth of a virtuous woman.
You have given these words true meaning in my life. You have stood by my side through every season.
The burdens that were mine to bear often found their way onto your shoulders. The thoughts I could not put into words somehow found their way to you.
In difficult times, when the future was uncertain, you stayed calm beside me and prayed with me.
Through all these years, you have remained the one who truly understands me.
More often than not, you sense when I need counsel before I ask. There have been nights when your presence alone was counsel enough.
I call you my truest friend and confidante because you speak the truth plainly, even on the days I would rather not hear it.
After a demanding day, you wait until we are alone before telling me what I need to hear. I have always cherished you for that honesty.
Our home bears the lasting imprint of your devotion. Our children and grandchildren have grown beneath the shelter of your prayers. They carry your values of faith and kindness wherever life takes them.
Nigerians know you for your compassion, kindness, generosity of spirit and steadfast faith. I have watched you touch lives quietly and consistently, offering hope and support to those in need.
From the New Era Foundation during our years in the saddle in Lagos to the Renewed Hope Initiative today, your care has reached many young boys and girls, widows, elderly citizens, and women farmers across the country.
Those affected by tuberculosis or any disease at all have found in you a compassionate advocate and a determined champion.
I know the prayers you offer for people whose names you may never know. I also know many whom you have helped without ever meeting them. For you, compassion has never recognised the boundaries of tribe, region or religion.
A long journey teaches a man the true value of a good partner. We have travelled a long road together. I think of the difficult decisions we talked through for hours and the sacrifices no one else saw. Laughter and prayer carried us through many of them.
If life returned me to the beginning, I would choose the same road that led me to you. Through every mile, my heart has always remained at home with you.
I thank you for the life we have built and the love that has held it together.
Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi. I pray that God Almighty will grant you many more years in good health and joy.
May the years ahead bring you the same comfort and happiness you have so freely given to me and many others.
With all my love,
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

@tolu60678@officialABAT That is your name, I suppose. Thank you for introducing yourself, as it is our first time meeting. It's nice to meet you Omo Eran.
@abdullahayofel@officialABAT Either you all like it or not, Tinubu has indeed charted a good cause for the prosperity of our great country. He surely will complete a second term to successfully finish the great work of transformation he has started.
BREAKING: J.P. Morgan includes Nigeria in new emerging-market bond index with 7.4% weight
J.P. Morgan has included Nigeria in its newly introduced Government Bond Index–Emerging Markets Edge (GBI-EM Edge), assigning the country a 7.4% weighting in the benchmark designed to track local-currency government debt across frontier emerging markets.
This is according to J.P. Morgan’s Global Index Research report dated September 14, 2026 seen by Nairametrics.
The inclusion puts Nigerian naira-denominated government bonds back into a J.P. Morgan emerging-market benchmark more than a decade after the country was removed from the bank’s flagship government bond index in 2015.
