The choice of Atiku as my running mate as civilian president was a mistake- OBJ
If I had known him as I came to know him later, I would not have picked him. Thank God his actions and reactions did not to overwhelm me or divert my own focus from Nigeria. There is no bitterness, he did things he believed he should do and God did things he needed to do.
Olusegun Obasanjo
Former President of Nigeria
According to you;
Finance is not one of your strengths.
You are not an economist.
You are a "bloody" layman.
So how did you conclude that the accounting in the minister's statement is not correct?
That politics you said you are not about, is what you are only about.
First, he introduced the State Police, which has now been passed by both chambers of the National Assembly. Then he expanded the Nigerian Army from the current eight Divisions to twelve Divisions. The additional 4 divisions will increase Nigerian Army personnel by 28,000 troops.
This is in addition to the planned introduction of 139,000 Forest Guards to police Nigeria's forests and woodlands, where bandits often hide. Of this number, almost 10,000 have already been deployed.
This is the most far-reaching reform of Nigeria's national security architecture since the Nigerian Civil War. It shows that His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is a steady and effective hand who is committed to the security of life and property of all Nigerians and foreigners resident in Nigeria, as well as the supremacy of the rule of law and the assurance of law and order in Nigeria.
As a Nigerian citizen, this should make you more confident in your government. Insecurity is easing, and with these new improvements by the President, the Federal Republic of Nigeria will definitely win the war on terror.
Breaking News: A government released diplomatic correspondence after receiving it.
Congratulations, @batten_von. On behalf of your perennial Nigerian presidential candidate-client, you have finally uncovered one of diplomacy’s best-kept secrets, which is that governments do not publish every letter the day it arrives. Grand work there!
Perhaps next, you will expose the scandal that communiqués are issued after meetings, and treaties are signed only after negotiations. Touché.
Curiously, I noticed that there is not a single word about the contents of President Trump’s letter to President Tinubu in your diatribe. Nothing about Nigeria–US relations. Nothing about the substance. Just a forensic audit of the date stamp. I suppose that is the billable you charge the perennial candidate-client for.
FYI, governments negotiate. Governments verify. Governments disclose. They do not conduct diplomacy according to the social media calendar of political consultants, especially those who have made a profession of trying to rebrand Nigeria as a basket case simply because their perennial candidate-client cannot win at the ballot box.
It must be rather awkward when your ‘carefully’ curated narrative collides with inconvenient facts. Those eggs on your face are entirely self-inflicted.
I understand @batten_von’s perennial candidate-client is entitled to representation. However, Nigeria is entitled to facts, so whilst you keep auditing stationery, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT will keep governing Nigeria.
P.S. Kindly send AA your invoice. He paid for this sort of advocacy from you. You delivered stationery analysis in true form.
Nyesom Wike, a PDP man from Rivers State is supporting and working for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, a member of APGA, from Anambra is supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Alex Otti of Abia, Labour Party, is supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
But any Yoruba person supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu “is only doing it because of tribe and must be a bigot.” This narrative is also being pushed by ‘ I am Yoruba But’ folks, alongside Obidients and IPOB lunatics.
They daily point fingers of bigotry so we keep quiet and not openly support a leader who is working hard to turn things around. Other people can support Tinubu but not us 😂.
Well, it’s only weaklings that you can gaslight or silence. You will never silence many of us, freeborn Yoruba men and women.
Hi Deji, good afternoon.
There are two problems with this tweet. One is based on a lack of information, while the other is an arithmetic error. Fortunately for you, I’m one of those people the Yoruba describe as “àtún orí ọmọ tí ó sùn wọ́n ṣe.”
1. The Information Problem
The assumption that only 30 km has been completed is based on the fact that approximately 30 km of work on Section 1 of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway was commissioned last year to commemorate the President’s second anniversary in office.
However, Section 1 is approximately 47 km long, and about 42 km has already been completed, representing roughly 89% of the section. To be fair, it appears you haven’t taken the time to study this project in detail beyond criticizing it.

2. The Arithmetic Problem
Fortunately for you, I’ve been a mathematics tutor for most of my life, so I can help here as well.
Ogbeni Dipo listed the following:
Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway
Section 1: 42 km completed
Section 2: 60% of 55 km = 33 km
Section 3: 20% of 140 km = 28 km
Section 4: 10% of 80 km = 8 km
Evidence for Section 2:

Evidence for Section 3:

Evidence for Section 4:

Sokoto–Badagry Highway
Section 1 (Sokoto): 40% of 120 km = 48 km
Section 2 (Kebbi): 60% of 258 km = 154.8 km (≈155 km)
Section 3 (Ogun): 18% of 162 km = 29.16 km (≈29 km)

Akwanga–Maiduguri Superhighway
This project was flagged off only about a month ago, so it would be unreasonable to expect completed pavement already.
Gombe–Biu Highway
This project was also flagged off about a month ago.
Total Paved
42 + 33 + 28 + 8 + 48 + 155 + 29 = 343 km
Total length of the Lagos–Calabar and Sokoto–Badagry highways:
1,068 km + 750 km = 1,818 km
I think you would agree that it is not intellectually prudent to argue that no work has been done on the Gombe–Biu and Akwanga–Maiduguri projects when both were only flagged off last month.
If anything, the correct calculation is:
343 ÷ 1,818 = 18.9% (approximately 19%)
But even if we use your total of 2,657 km across the four legacy highway projects, the calculation would be:
343 ÷ 2,657 = 12.9% (approximately 13%)
A layperson may look at these figures and conclude that “only 19% has been completed.” Even that would be misleading because we have discussed only the portions that have already been paved. The remaining sections are at various stages of earthworks, drainage, bridge construction, embankment, and pavement preparation. It is therefore inaccurate to suggest that nothing is happening on the remaining portions.
Please do the honourable thing and acknowledge this correction.
Anambra State Facebook page posted the 177 SUVs Peter Obi bought for the Traditional Rulers in Anambra in 2013. That is 13 years ago.
Now, let's look at the comment section and see what Ndi Anambra had to say about Obi administration 13 years ago.
These same people are now projecting the same Man they once confirmed to be a failure to be president now..
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper “
“Who is he that said it shall come to pass when the lord has not commanded’
“Every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I condemn it”.
“Let God arise and His enemies be scattered”
May every wish against you return to the sender with thousand fold
The way friend request have been pouring in from notable and well-known Obidients on my Facebook ehn, and I see many of their engagements here on X as well, I really cannot say why, but ya’ll are here.
But let me just say this before some of you begin to get disappointed as you all normally say.
This page, and the person behind it, is not Obidient, neither am I Atikulated. I am 101% for Mr President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. So if you’ve sent me a friend request or hit the follow button thinking otherwise, just know I never gave that impression. If you eventually become disappointed, it simply means you appointed yourself and disappointed yourself. 😅
That said, my page is open to everyone who genuinely enjoys the many other things I share here. All I ask is that you respect boundaries, respect other people’s choices, and respect the fact that democracy gives every citizen the right to hold different political opinions without becoming enemies.
As long as we can do that, I don’t think we’ll ever have a problem with each other.
You may like me for ten things and disagree with me on one. That’s life. Even I don’t agree with everyone on every issue. What I have consistently tried to uphold is respect for their choices, perspectives, opinions, convictions, and political leanings, even when I disagree with them.
Nevertheless, you’re welcome to my page. It’s mostly love, enlightenment, knowledge, deep insights, business, wisdom, and once in a while, small vawulence here and there..
Just be rational enough not to get yourself insulted.

You people are just ‘animals.’ You tend to insult, bully, and harass anyone especially Yoruba celebrities who don’t support your candidate and that’s really wild. It’s not going to be tolerated. Before assholes like you were born, democracy had long existed and been practiced. You can’t, because you have a cheap-ass phone and data, tweet rubbish or expose individuals to your minions attacks.
