The kids are not out partying until 3 am and showing up to their 8 am shift at Old Navy in the same clothes as the night before smelling like vodka, cigarettes, and ditch weed and still organizing that denim wall like a champ anymore and IT SHOWS
my take is there’s no good soul food restaurant anywhere because that *way* of cooking isn’t meant to scale. it’s not to be made all day and exacted upon. it always lacks something outside of the context of home or church basement, idk.
Unless people's lives literally depend on your job, you have to get rid of any sense of shame or guilt about slacking off and making your life as easy as possible at work
