Idea for a banger software engineering course:

The Legacy Conqueror 🐉

The course author prepares a legacy-like project with ~1M LOC and asks people to perform various tasks (e.g. try to refactor this piece of code without breaking any tests).

Super interesting and helpful! But requires insane amount of work to prepare such a course.

Maybe some company wants to donate a legacy project 👀

Just reviewed a web page making 55 fetch calls totaling 570k of JSON. This one page is 1.6 MB.

Why 55 calls? Because each database table is exposed as an endpoint. The UI joins all the JSON together via the provided foreign keys.

To be clear: Don't do this.
