Leon Trotsky’s 1932 stop in Italy was a transit stopover on his way from exile in Turkey to Denmark for a lecture, not a purposeful political visit. The trip itinerary was made by the Turkish government. Trotsky literally had no say, nor was he permitted to speak publicly. It is unfortunate these falsifications continue to muddy the waters.
