This week the #MachineLearning community gathers @icmlconf in Seoul 🇰🇷 & our very own Jun-Sik Yoo is presenting work on interpretability: “Geometric Structure of Token–Token Interactions in Deep Language Models”. Great key concepts from physics (coordinates/invariants) applied.
This week our master student Songmin Ha is in New Zealand 🇳🇿 at #CosPA2026 & #ACGRG13@UCNZ to present our work at #KoreaUniversity on boundary terms in gravity using its Schwinger-Keldysh-Galley initial value action formulation. Delighted that the poster was well attended.
It is small things in life from which to derive happiness. A big thank you to the ten individuals who already tried my "Classic arXiv" browser extension. Available on @googlechrome web store and on @mozilla@firefox add-ons.
Now you can also enjoy the classic crimson color scheme of the #arXiv when using your @firefox browser. My free extension "Classic arXiv" is available via the official @mozilla addon webpage:

Great to see at #ConfXVII@uniwroc progress made in simulating QCD at finite baryo-chemical potential (w/ strong sign problem) on #classical hardware. M. Mandl (@UniGraz) reports on #ComplexLangevin, extending its non-perturbative reach deep into \mu_B at high T. @FWF_at
The final plenary session at #ConfXVII@uniwroc today focusses on two key topics in #latticeQCD. William Detmold (@MIT) reviews progress in nucleon-nucleon scattering followed by Andrea Shindler (@michiganstateu) reviewing the gradient flow technique & recent applications.
Time flies and it is already my last day at #ConfXVII@uniwroc. The morning session starts with interesting plenaries on gauge gravity duality by J. Erdmenger (@ct_qmat), EFTs for exotics ny A. Mohapatra (@PRLAhmedabad) & heavy hadron spectroscopy by R. Mussa (@INFN_).
Next up at #ConfXVII@uniwroc, @axelmaas (@UniGraz) presents an overview of current research in self-interacting dark matter. #LatticeQCD contributes via studies on the Sp(4) gauge theory as prototype system. Indistinguishability of matter & antimatter. @FWF_at funding.
If, like me, you already miss the classic look of #arXiv, I’ve put together a small free browser extension to bring it back. Restores the crimson scheme leaving the site’s functionality unchanged.

#ConfXVII@uniwroc continues with a talk by @SagunVioletta (@unisouthampton) on #neutronstar|s. Extremely dense astrophysical objects as laboratory for quark matter & beyond the standard model. Exploring dark matter accumulation via EOS from multi messenger measurements.
Final plenary talk today at #ConfXVII@uniwroc by Antonio Pich (@IFICorpuscular) with an overview of flavor anomalies. Deviations between experiment and theory that may lead the way towards beyond the standard model physics. Careful uncertainty quantification key.
Next up at #ConfXVII@uniwroc another interesting round-table discussion. Focus topic "Confining Dark Sectors". Chaired by Ethan Neil (@CUBoulder). Great to see that the methods and intuition developed from studying quarks and gluons in QCD can help build models for dark matter.
#ConfXVII@uniwroc today starts with a talk by Jon-Ivar Skullerud (@MaynoothUni) on the current state of knowledge of quark and gluon correlation functions. Exploring chiral symmetry breaking and confinement on the level of the microscopic degrees of freedom of QCD.
It was a pleasure to give a plenary talk at #ConfXVII@uniwroc presenting recent collaborative #latticeQCD work #KoreaUniversity - @MaynoothUni on the in-medium heavy quark potential, connecting to studies on center vortices at T>0. Tantalizing hints for new phase structure.

Nice to see at #ConfXVII@uniwroc my former postdoc Rasmus Larsen (@unibielefeld) continue his impactful work on in-medium quarkonium from #latticeQCD. Extending the analysis of in-medium modification towards the lighter Charmonium states via relativistic correlation functions.
Delighted about the progress on thermalizing heavy quarkonium states via the open-quantum systems approach in Tom Magorsch's (@TU_Muenchen) parallel talk at #ConfXVII@uniwroc. Interesting to see that excited states are most sensitive to non-Lindblad dynamics.
