Any ideas on how to practice 'reading an exam question properly'? Some of my y11 students lose marks because they do not read the questions properly and they asked if I have any suggestions on how to improve this. They are high ability students.

A suggestion for schools with NQTs: your next CPD should be 'How to plan a good lesson in no time'.

@ITeachBoys92 If we discuss it, my kids still struggle to put it in words. Any suggestion on how to 'get them there' without phrasing it for them? Anything else that key words?

Halfway through the first week in school as an NQT: feeling slightly overwhelmed with the information and planning but absolutely loving the time in class. I am also super grateful for all the support I have received from twitter - @marklay11 you are fab!
