"There is a season when there is no one. No phone calls... No invitations to hang out... No one checking in on you... The few who do call probably are just for just... very little engagement... forgotten promises...
This is the time to find yourself and listen to your soul... find laughter... find joy... and find validation in Him who made you.
The noise vanishes so that you can see what's truly left.. What really matters!
What season are you in?
#RefindingYourself
I used to work with a guy who only dated โtop corporate specโ girls ONLY ๐๐
Youโd never see the brother with a struggling hun EVER. And he used to play them like chess ๐๐๐
Thereโs a time hubby and I were at the airport. We got into the picture and selfie moment. We took quite a number of them. All nice and laughing. Upon viewing them he told me to delete some coz he didnโt like how he looked in them. I insisted and said No. He insisted and I also insisted itโs my phone.
He asked me only one question: So u canโt listen to me if I say I donโt like them?
I knew there and then weโve now crossed into the husband mode and outa friend mode no-more. I immediately handed over the phone and he deleted the ones he didnโt feel okay with.
Thatโs all sheโs trying to say here.
The ability to discern who is talking at what moment and acting accordingly.
Hope this example throws more light..
I am 41yrs old... 40s are crazy. Some people have 3yr olds, others have teens, others are grandparents. Some are dating 26yr olds others look like they are 60yrs.
It looks like a confused group project.
i texted her, "how was your day today?", and she sent me a 7 minute vn, telling me everything.. and that basically sums up the kind of person i want by my side. stop normalizing disinterest.
