ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद को लेकर ASI की रिपोर्ट सामने आ गई है. जीपीआर सर्वे पर ASI ने कहा है कि "यहां पर एक बड़ा भव्य हिन्दू मंदिर था और ढांचे यानी मस्जिद के पहले एक बड़ा हिंदू मंदिर मौजूद था". ASI की सर्वे रिपोर्ट में मंदिर होने के 32 से ज्यादा प्रमाण मिलने की बात कही गई है. बताया गया है कि 32 ऐसे शिलालेख मिले हैं जो पुराने हिंदू मंदिरों के हैं. एएसआई की रिपोर्ट कहती है कि हिंदू मंदिर के खंभों को थोड़ा बहुत बदलकर नए ढांचे के लिए इस्तेमाल किया गया.
