The National Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries Park, Tamil Nadu (NSHIP,TN), a joint venture between State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (@SIPCOTTN ) and V.O.Chidambaranar Port Authority (@vocpa_tuticorin), is the country’s first Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)–led Mega Shipbuilding Cluster at #Thoothukudi, marking a watershed moment for India’s maritime ambitions.

Creating a globally competitive ecosystem across shipbuilding, ship repair, marine equipment manufacturing, and ancillaries, this landmark initiative leverages Tamil Nadu’s strategic ports, deep industrial base, and skilled workforce to scale domestic capacity, reduce import dependence, attract global majors, and generate high-value jobs.
