A sincere thank you to BESCOM for stepping up for Bengaluru.

Under the directions of Hon. Minister Sri @thekjgeorge, BESCOM has joined the Freedom from Waste campaign and is taking action on the ground.

On August 8 and 9, the MD and senior officers are leading an intensive JCB drive to clear waste and debris around BESCOM’s electrical installations in public spaces.

I hope BESCOM’s sense of responsibility inspires every other agency to look at its own spaces and do the same.

Together, let’s #JustCleanBengaluru for a Better Bengaluru.

Bengaluru West City Corporation cleared 167.97 km of footpath encroachments between July 1-31

After 163.37 km was cleared till July 30, another 4.6 km was cleared on July 31. The drive removed 450 petty shops, 685 pushcarts, 405 canopies, 736 steps/ramps, 997 advertisement boards, 80 sheds & 351 tonnes of debris. A total of 25km of footpaths was repaired @BWCCofficial
