From his humble roots in Ntungamo to becoming one of the most consistent and clinical finishers in the Uganda Premier League, Paul Mucureezi has built a remarkable career defined by goals, leadership, and silverware.
A 4Γ Uganda Premier League champion (2Γ with KCCA FC, 2Γ with Vipers SC) and 4Γ Uganda Cup winner (2Γ KCCA, 1Γ Vipers SC, 1Γ Kitara FC where he served as vice-captain during their historic 2023/24 campaign, netting 15 goals in 24 appearances).
Uganda Cranes international with memorable moments for the national team, Mucureezi rose from lower-division outfits like Mutundwe Lions and Mbarara City to light up the top flight with professionalism, work rate, and big-game performances.

UPDF FC are battling for their Premier League lives, every point counts in the relegation scrap. KCCA FC are still very much in the title race and need maximum points to keep the pressure on Vipers SC with just 3 games left.
This is a classic clash of priorities: A UPDF win could breathe massive life into their survival hopes.
A KCCA victory keeps their championship dream alive.
Recent history favours KCCA heavily (they won the reverse fixture 4-0 in January), but UPDF at home .......... they could be a different beast when fighting for survival. Can the military men pull off a shock result?
Or will KCCAβs quality and attacking firepower prove too strong? The final stretch just got even hotter!

πππππππ ππππππππππππ | President @KagutaMuseveni is set to be sworn in on 12th May 2026 following his victory in the recent election.
Today we laid Hon. Rtd. Justice Augustine Nshimye Sebutulo to rest in Namutamba, Mityana District. I Thank the President for according him a send off befitting a Statesman.
Fellow Ugandans,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of our dear sister and comrade, Edith Katende Mufumbiro, the wife of our Deputy Spokesperson, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro.
Edith passed on after 3:00am today following a hard-fought battle with cancer. At the time of her passing, her dear husband Waiswa remains detained at Luzira Upper Prison for no crime whatsoever. His only crime is speaking out against injustice and misrule.
The criminal regime placed on him and others the sham charge of "Unlawful Drilling" which apparently took place on 12th February 2025 at our Party Headquarters. In fact, on that day, Waiswa never stepped there as he was at Mulago Cancer Institute with the wife! The judiciary, fully aware of these facts, has chosen to conspire in this persecution.
Waiswa, alongside other comrades, has applied for bail severally. He has variously made an impassioned plea to the Court to be released on bail so that he takes care of his sick wife, but it has been denied. The injustice!
As difficult as it is, we remain hopeful that we shall overcome some day. May God grant the family, especially our brother Waiswa, the strength he needs at this time.

Mao says the retreat is critical for shaping the national policy direction, adding that if members of the 12th Parliament fully understood its importance, they would prioritize attending. He made the remarks ahead of the meeting in Kyankwanzi.

As we celebrate the Easter season, we are reminded of the power of new beginnings.
May this special time bring peace, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose to all our viewers and readers.
Let's cherish the moments of hope and happiness with those who matter most.
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!
It is with profound sadness and heartache that I received the news of the passing of Hon. Araali Peter Banura, a young, inspiring, and dedicated leader whom many of us relied on for guidance not only in Kikuube but across the Bunyoro subregion. Araali was a keen mobilizer committed to improving the lives of his peopleβa remarkable life tragically cut short. My deepest sympathies go out to our elder Maj Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza, the bereaved family, the people of Kikuube and Bunyoro, and all who knew him. May God comfort us all and grant his soul eternal peace.
I like this by the way. The kind of thinking that went into this. But looks like AI. Could be the substitution of all time.
HOwever the question I have on my mind i wwhether the colours representing the substitutions look to have been switched. He died (red) for US (green)!
Suffering is a universal part of both sport and life.
Itβs at the heart of the story of Jesus Christ. Today, on Good Friday, we remember His sacrifice.
Though He died, hope triumphs: He will rise again.
