The most common question I hear is: "Should I switch from rice to ragi?"
My answer often surprises people. Rice, wheat, ragi and millets are all predominantly carbohydrate foods. Simply changing one grain for another does not automatically make a meal diabetes-friendly.
The real question is not: "What grain are you eating?"
It's: "How is your plate balanced?"
A simple approach I recommend is: 🥗 50% non-starchy green leafy vegetables, 🍲 25% protein
(Dal, legumes, paneer, fish, eggs or lean meat), 🍚 25% carbohydrates
(Rice, chapati, millets or other grains)
This helps reduce blood sugar spikes, increases satiety and improves the overall nutritional quality of the meal.
Many Indians consume 65–70% of their calories from carbohydrates. By increasing vegetables and protein while moderating carbohydrate portions, we can make our traditional meals healthier without giving up the foods we love.
Remember: Don't just change your grains. Change your proportions. Eat more veggies and protein.

@ByRakeshSimha Its not just about penalty but execution. People know they can get away without paying fines, just like how a teenager in pune got a bail by writing one para essay. Police dont execute as they get more from not policing
@vijaythirumalai Leave aside Infy if it wants to continue as service company. The founders has their own huge private capital, such as Premji Invest, NRN or Nandan. what have they done with it that capital except investing in some ecommerce companies which does meat and grocery selling.
Yesterday, in a prayerful mood, I visited the 800-year-old Sri Santhana Venugopala Swamy Temple at Mahadevpura near Bibinagar, a temple dating back to the Kakatiya era.
To my surprise, a Mazar has appeared under the sacred Ashwatha (Banyan) tree around which devotees traditionally perform pradakshina as part of temple worship.
How and why was a Mazar established inside a Hindu temple campus, beneath one of its most sacred trees? Was this done with the knowledge and consent of the temple authorities and devotees, or was it an overnight encroachment? These are questions that deserve clear answers.
@manglanivishalp@AnoopKaippalli India is one of high population density country. So unlike USA where you have endless land without any population to build straight road or rail road, India it cannot be possible always
@ArkSridhar@irma_shvesk Then why we have constitution which is nothing but set of rules. lets remove it. Why we have Indian Penal code which are nothing but set of legal rules. Lets remove it
VIDEO | Nagpur: After wife's death ends couple's dream of a world tour, retired banker donates savings to the Army.
Speaking to PTI, banker Shrikant Sahasrabuddhe says, "My wife and I had retired from Punjab National Bank. Unfortunately, she passed away 10 years ago. We had planned to travel the world using our PF and savings, but that dream remained unfulfilled. After her death, I no longer felt like travelling anywhere. Later, I came across a WhatsApp message about a man from Akola donating Rs 1 crore. I did not have that kind of wealth, but I thought I could donate Rs 25 lakh. I decided to donate half of the money we had saved for our dream journey. Perhaps this will give me the same happiness that travelling with my wife would have given me..."
