You can be authentic and hardworking and still struggle to find your footing if you’re in the wrong environment.
-A fun person trapped in the wrong city.
-A loving partner in a relationship that won’t reciprocate.
-A great entrepreneur stuck in the wrong business.
Think about your placement as much as your performance. Plant yourself where you can thrive.
We have a very big saying at VeeFriends:
Strangers become acquaintances, acquaintances become friends, and friends become family.
I do not believe that people understand how important friendship is. It's basically your life.

For the most part, life gives you so many decisions to make and so many opportunities to recover from your mistakes that, if you handle them well, you can have a terrific life.
Of course, sometimes there are major influences on the quality of our lives that come from things beyond our control—the circumstances we are born into, accidents and illnesses, and so forth—but for the most part even the worst circumstances can be made better with the right approach. #principleoftheday
Two things matter at once: putting your people in position to succeed AND creating paths to stretch them.
When I give new employees new tasks, I don't necessarily need them to be great at them. I want to create opportunities for them for career growth AND get context on their ability. But they don't lose when they fail at new tasks.
Sometimes, I'll go back to the same person and give them a second, third or even fourth bite at that apple...Employees, a great boss should be OK if you fail at something new. Keep going!
