On this day 106 years ago, the Cumberland Bulldogs lost to the Georgia Tech Engineers in the most lopsided game in the history of college football, 222-0...
But do you know the whole story?
If I hear or see another person say “that’s just part of the game” or “it’s just a freak accident” - imma lose it.
First impact? Sure.
Second in 4 days? Absolutely not, this was 100% preventable.
Concussions aren’t anything to rush back from.. it’s not any injury you just “tough it out on”. I always err on the side of caution with them, regardless of the player or which position. No one ever wants to see their athlete like this. Can’t believe he was even cleared so soon.
@Megallo1215@karli_collins The divide is so real because most PTs still don’t fully understand what athletic training really is. Being both I spent a majority of time in school and now at work trying to explain the different scopes of practice but also that it should be a team between the two.
I don’t understand where commitment to athletics turned into not being able to take a break or have family time. Trust me, your athletes need the break, physically and mentally. Teaching kids to pick sports over family? Sorry but no.
It’s wild parents don’t think they are the issue at all. Your kid would rather pay 600-1000 dollars a month to get a apt or a house and not live with you for free for a few years. Really think about that
