The trailer for #AacharAndCo truly brought a smile to my face. This film presents a captivating coming-of-age tale centered around the siblings of a conventional orthodox family, who embark on a journey through the transforming dynamics of patriarchy, arranged marriages, gender roles, and the evolving opportunities in education and work for women during the vibrant 60s-70s in Bangalore.

Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy and Kanan Gill's storytelling and screenplay approach infuse the narrative with a refreshing sense of freshness. They have successfully maintained an authentic portrayal of the story. Sidhu's multi-talented involvement in acting, directing, and writing strikes a perfect balance, showcasing her exceptional skills. Additionally, the film benefits greatly from its well-chosen ensemble cast, further enhancing its appeal.

I am a fan of Trilok Trivikrama's lyrics, which often carry profound meaning (like In Kantara 's Karma song) while occasionally incorporating playful elements (Jr.Monalisa from HKGK.) Learning that he is also the dialogue writer for this film is a pleasant surprise.

Overall, it is truly refreshing to encounter a story that deviates from the norm of contemporary movies. While the teaser may have initially left me underwhelmed, the trailer proves me wrong by promising a compelling narrative. Offering a delightful fusion of nostalgia, humor, and drama. I eagerly anticipate experiencing this film on the big screen.
