I was told it couldn’t be done. I was told we couldn’t compete. I was told to drop the idea and just import from overseas, assemble and sell.
However, we went against the tide and developed products which are world beating. @Enertia786’s heat pump systems are world class. 1/n
We keep pushing the boundaries here in Pakistan. Made in Pakistan is significantly difficult. Developing products which combine hardware and software is even harder. We built every product from the ground up. From designing the heat exchangers, to writing the code and 3/n

Good. PK is blessed with an abundance of wealth beneath the ground. But there is also wealth above the ground- which is the 250 mln people of this country of which 67% are young. We should invest in rocks beneath the ground but invest in minds above the ground too.
Pakistan discovered huge deposits of antimony, an element that is used in semiconductor, military equipment and in EV batteries.
China has banned antimony exports to the US.
I think US will invest or perhaps even pentagon will invest.
Baluchistan has many minerals that are critical to both china and the US.
Mines and minerals act 2025 show the willingness of the government on bringing investments.
Along with investments, government must also ensure scarcity of water that will be caused by mining industry.
Will write in much more details soon.
I think about this quite a lot. But with the arrival of AR glasses, this might just be easier to achieve in inside them than to build in spatial reality.
But it would be so cool to do so.
Volumetric Displays
These are a real thing, but I always wanted a round coffee table with a volumetric display and I’m sad this still isn’t a thing.
I think there are several different methods for doing it well, but nobody has ever really crushed it with a viable product.
I’m sure it would be a good format for 2-4 player games and watching live sports events.
But it would also make for a good workstation or design review medium for a lot of engineering. Feels like the natural way to have a discussion around anything spatial.
You can do it with an ionised cloud, or like the one below which has spinning arms at 900rpm. It’s not that hard to do, just seems nobody has done a polished version that’s photorealistic, high fps, etc.
