Just days before Christmas, FFFG and Inds are taking away a lifeline that so many people rely on, and now some will have to pay up to €50 a month to get their meds in blister packs.

This hits older people, people in early stage dementia or Alzheimer’s, and people with disabilities the hardest. It’s money they simply don’t have.

Blister packs aren’t some kind of luxury. They’re essential for managing medication safely. This Scrooge-style cost-cutting is a health and safety risk. It’s downright cruel, it needs to be reversed.

I’m already hearing from families who are shocked and worried about what this will mean for them.
