@asalovey96 Because it’s unnumbered and people don’t understand how rare they actually are. Buy buy buy until people realize how short print the topps sp inserts and unnumbered parallels are compared to panini. Then cash in
Now that everyone here thinks they are an expert on glyphosate, I want to add some context to the noise.
Glyphosate is a molecule.
It has been studied for 50 years.
Hundreds of regulatory reviews.
Tens of thousands of pages of data.
Toxicology, residue studies, epidemiology, environmental fate.
You don’t have to “trust Monsanto.”
You can read assessments from:
🇺🇸 EPA
🇪🇺 EFSA
🇯🇵 PMDA
🇨🇦 Health Canada
Here’s what gets lost in the shouting:
Hazard ≠ Risk.
Risk = Hazard × Exposure.
Real-world dietary exposure?
Measured in micrograms.
Hundreds of times below conservative safety limits.
That’s risk assessment.
And no - IARC saying “probably carcinogenic” does not mean “causes cancer at real-world exposure.”
It means “can under some conditions.”
Same category as:
• Red meat.
• Night shift work.
• Very hot beverages.
Context matters.
If you think farmers spray poison because they enjoy it, you’ve never met a farmer.
They use tools.
Tools are evaluated.
If they don’t work, they’re dropped.
If they aren’t safe under regulation, they’re not approved.
The claim that we are all being secretly poisoned?
That collapses under dose-response curves and biomonitoring data.
Emotion spreads faster than toxicology. But toxicology still wins.
If you care about food, health, and the environment, learn the difference between hazard and risk.
It will change how you see almost every chemical debate online.
@VinnDad@Topps@CardPurchaser If it was a random stock on the website I get it. But this was an EQL raffle with a set amount of winners. There should be no way possible for this to happen
Very long rant, sorry, again.
The son of the owner, CEO, and president of the Reds stood in front of Reds fans piss drunk on Opening Day 2022 just weeks after selling off the best players on a team that just missed the playoffs and said “Well, where ya gonna go?” In response to a prominent Cincinnati radio host (@MoEgger) asking him why Reds fans should have faith in this ownership group. Seriously, that’s not made up. That happened. On opening day, in front of 100s of thousands of people, live on Cincinnati’s #1 radio station, he said that and felt zero shame. He later appeared on a local news channel after the game (looking absolutely buckled) and doubled down on the quote.
Our president of baseball operations got up in front of everyone and said their goal is to “eliminate PEAKS and valleys.” That’s real! He said that!
What they are doing is intentional. Winning 78-84 games is intentional. So intentional they have mastered how to do it. They have mastered how to hang around in the hunt, never truly in it to be buyers. Never truly out of it to be sellers. Just in it enough to where no national attention or scrutiny will ever come of it.
So this is me begging the national media. A father of 2. Im pleading at 10:40 on a Tuesday. When you talk about the worst front offices and ownership groups in baseball, please please please acknowledge the Cincinnati Reds in the conversation. In fact, please lead with them.
I’m 30 years old (almost), I have 2 kids. I have never seen the Reds advance in the playoffs. I have never seen the Reds win a home playoff game. They have made the playoffs 5 times (im counting game 163 in ‘99 and whatever 2020 was) in my life and have played 12 playoff games. They have been shutout in 5 of them.
This is a bottom 5 organization in all of American sports. Please talk about them in that fashion. I’m begging.
