@ClaudeDevs Why am I being forced back to Opus 4.8 when asking it to perform basic security tasks on my own system and tooling? I guess these are the safeguards you said were too tight.
it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
@trq212 Sounds similar in style to Karpathy’s wiki system, at least around noting decisions and learning. Curious if you’ve tested both and if so, why you prefer this
@felixrieseberg I really love the live artifacts in Cowork but I find they’re really slow when trying to refresh data on larger dashboards. Not sure if I’m using them in an unintended way but thought I’d share the feedback.
In all the years I’ve travelled to SF, I’ve never had to wait more than a few seconds for an @Uber from SFO and now here I am waiting 20+ mins just to get connected to a driver, let alone how long it’ll take to get here. Is Uber dying in SF?
As more and more people realize this, they’re just going to create their own. They don’t need to worry about distribution, scaling, etc if for solo use. Security is simple enough for local builds that AI can handle it well enough. Budgeting apps? Fitness apps? All easily built
SaaS is in such a vulnerable spot and I don’t think many realize how bad it can get. As people start to learn how they can vibe code their own solutions, even if it gets 80% of the way, that’s a big impact.
Here’s a real example - I’m sick of all the ads I get on my @weathernetwork app so I’m just building my own this weekend. Completely free, fully custom and feature rich. Turns out there’s a ton of free APIs that work for non-commercial use so I don’t lose a thing.
