@ann_millanne104 Hello stranger. As far as I know, the W.H.O. never declared an end to the C-19 pandemic and still referred to it as "ongoing" after ending the "emergency phase" in 2023, so I'm curious--in your opinion (1) on what date did the pandemic end? (2) what organization ended it?
@Skunko00 I don't know what psyop is or what people you are referring to, but if you want to learn more about how masks work (they use the same physics as HEPA filters and can most definitely trap viruses) here's a decent YouTube video: https://t.co/mDPOd1cqyy
@Skunko00 I doubt the percentage is that high, but yeah, the majority of people don't understand how masks work, how airborne viruses spread, or the risk of viral infections. It's tragic, really.
@Dropchicken7 If I understand your question: Yes, people care. Some people are triggered so much they yell at strangers to take their mask off, cough on people wearing masks and mock & harass them. I think it comes from fear & trauma from 2020 and ignorance about what masks are for.
@la_kika_@das_pea I've read that many fluids (and gases?) coming from an infected person can become aerosolized under certain conditions, and asymptomatic spread is real, so layering protections is wise, especially when dealing with deadly viruses and international travel.
@das_pea Yeah, 2020 taught many of us to be wary of sources stating anything unequivocally about viruses. Many still don't know how masks work, how airborne viruses spread & their long-term risk, so I'll err on the side of caution while I wait. "Calm-mongering" doesn't make sense in 2026.
@MiaCarlaNY It would benefit us to upgrade from surgical masks to respirator masks (KN95, KF94,FFP2...)
This video explains how N95 filters use physics--just like HEPA filters--to capture and attract particles (even microscopic viruses).

@exceptionalfood I think it's awesome that someone offered to take a test without you asking. I hope you are able to avoid it thanks to all your precautions--Good luck!
@abrokenlull@RageSheen ..And all the burden & responsibility is not on pedestrians--our communities provide traffic lights, speed limits, crosswalks, education for children/new drivers, etc. Imagine if we didn't have that support, there were wild cars on the loose and nobody cared about the car-demic!
@Darthtaterpdx@rdwilson713@drseanmullen@grok I'm guessing you are using some outdated information. Can you share your source? With a Google search, I found this one from 2023 and I don't see what you mention. WHO recommends masks.

@VladVexler@useless_priest Yeah, my answer: "It depends on what you mean."
I often read, "If masks work so well, then YOU wear one and leave everyone else alone," implying that others need not bother with prevention measures.
One-way masking is very effective, but not ideal without support.
@bloo333_@larmbrust His use of "post Covid" is a clue. We're not really post Covid but many people stopped caring about trying to prevent illness, for whatever reason, so the importance of indoor air quality has not reached the masses & the filter side of their business isn't making money apparently
